Armed Killer Fulani Attack Reverend and Minister of God

Last night, at about 8:40pm of 5th day of May, 2020, residence of well known and respected minister of God in person of Rev. Adebayo James Famoluwe, who is the country representative of CAPRO Ministry was invaded by suspected armed Fulani militias. As a result, four (4) persons including the minister of God, and his wife sustained fatal injuries arising from gunshots.
The news got to Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria-ECCVN through State Coordinator of Front-line Communities, that there was an attack at Gana-Ropp last night.
When ECCVN visited the scene of the incident, it found out pool of blood from the entrance of the apartment, right through the rooms including a library, where the affected family members were having a devotion before going to bed, but halted by the marauders’ barbaric mission on ethno-religious cleansing.
The preceding fact was made known during an interview at General Hospital in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, where three (3) victims have been admitted while the other has been taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital-JUTH. Rev. Adebayo James Famoluwe (a.k.a. Baba Bayo) who, due to loss of blood, ineptly said in few words that, “when were having a devotion at about 8:40pm last night, Fulani attacked us; shot me right on my forehead at close range, my wife was shot on her back….., two other family members were also affected as you can see them lying…” he pointed at the two victims who reluctantly aired out what transpired as Baba Bayo couldn’t talk further but waved a hand.
Mr. Adua, one of the victimd in a brief response said, “I wish not to say anything since security agents are investing the incident. However, we were attacked by three armed Fulani …. one of them held a rifle while two others carried sticks…” which would have ordinarily claimed the lives of the entire family as probable consequences of the dastardly act of terrorism meted out by the attackers, but God mysteriously spared his children though under bodily pains.
As investigation is still ongoing, it has been observed that presence of security agents is greatly needed to avert recurrence of such terror attacks as previously witnessed by unsuspecting inhabitants of Gana-Ropp who are living in perpetual state of fear of killer Fulani aggression daily posed by unwarranted grazing right into residential area as voiced out by an anonymous source.
Going by the above facts, it’s hereby appealed as follows:

  1. Deployment of security personnel to Gana-Ropp so as to guarantee the safety of the inhabitants.
  2. Investigation be intensified to unravel the perpetrators for onward prosecution where necessary.
  3. Government and spirited persons step up intervention towards free medical treatment of the victims.
  4. Proscription of killer Fulani herdsmen as terorists; and
  5. Any other measure deemed expedient in the circumstance.
