The ongoing genocide in Plateau State has hit Farin Lamba-Turu of Vwang District, Jos South LGA of the State at about 9:39pm of 9th July, 2023, where 8 people including a 9 months baby were sent to theirs early graves by gunmen suspected to be Fulani Militias alongside Bandits and other hired cohorts who spoke in English during the operation that lasted for about 15 minutes, after which security agents arrived the scene.
Aside 8 people, namely,
- Ephraim Bulus, 30
- Timothy Ishaya
- Pam Gyang, 22
- Gabriel Dalyop, 32
- Iliya Davou, 35
- Micah Daniel, 29
- Mrs. Abigail Jah,
- Mrs. Abigail’s little baby of 9 months (name not yet known) killed at Farin Lamba, Vwang in Jos South, two (2) women were shot dead while Mr. Lazarus James was injured on his hand at Wereng-Rim of Rim, Riyom LGA by Bandits who attacked the unsuspecting natives on their(natives’ farm at the outskirts of the village at about 2:00pm of today, 10th July, 2023.
It’s t testified that the attackers, after killing the women, proceeded to Rinyan village of Tahoss Community and attacked it until the Mobile Police responded by repelling them.
ECCVN has observed that the said Bandits have advanced in their modus operandi of employing the use of Drones, both in the day and at midnights as witnessed by some local vigilante.
By this advancement in banditry, Security agencies are therefore urged to rise up occasion and nip the situation in the bud before it grows beyond their capacity.
