At about 7:30pm or thereabout, armed men suspected to be Fulani from Bangai are fingered in the killing of 4 native inhabitants of Rinyan, a village in Tahoss of Riyom LGA, exacerbating tension within the general area.
The tragic incident happened after an ambush laid along Rim-Bangai road by suspected Fulani against 3 natives of Bachi District at about 3:00pm, resulting to a robbery of a motorcycle belonging to the unsuspecting victims.
In the same vein, groups of armed Fulani suspected to be from Guava/ Rankum(Mahanga) settlement were spotted in 3 different locations (hills) around Tanjol and Vwak of Jol, Riyom LGA, and fired gunshots into Tanjol village, but no life was lost.
At the moment, security have been bief-up as inter Community/Hamlet movement at 5:30pm has been restrictions until further notice.
