BEROM IN AMERICA SENDS RELIEFS TO MWAGAVWUL NATION

The Mwagavwul ethnic nationality has been reached out with food relief by Berom Community in North America under the leadership of Mrs Felicia Chomo Sodipe as part of commiserating with the entire people of Mangu LGA over the dastardly acts of genocide meted on them by suspected Fulani militias in the recent past.

The delivery of the food supply to the representatives of Committee on IDPs was presented at the National Secretariat of Mwagavwul Development Association-MDA by Barr Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri alongside supporting staff of Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria-ECCV today, 26th May, 2023.

Upon receipt of the food supply, Rev. Istifanus Ishaya Dawam, the Chairman Mwagavwul Ministers’ Forum and Dr. Mrs Zipora Duguryil, the National President of Mwagavwul Women’s Association greatly appreciated the humanitarian gesture demonstrated by the Berom Community in North America, “On behalf of the Mwagavwul nation, I want to humbly say that we are grateful for the 2 bags of Maize, 2 bags of Beans, 1 bag of Guinea-Corn and 3 Jerricans of Palm-Oil that the Berom Community in North America….” said Dr. Mrs Zipora.

In another round of appreciation, Rev. Istifanus expressed his happiness over the show of love demonstrated by the Berom in diaspora, that, ‘we are expressing our gratitude to our brethren, the Berom Nation in North America for sending this support to our people in this distress situation. May the grace of God be with you all,” as the donors remembered the Mwagavwul nation in this critical moment of grief never contemplated, but now a reality that has dawn on Internally Displaced Persons-IDPs who have not yet received any food relief from Government.
