C.A.N IN RIYOM ORGANIZE A ONE-DAY PRAYER OVER ETHNO-RELIGIOUS CLEANSING IN PLATEAU STATE

Christian Association of Nigeria-CAN Riyom LGA, under the leadership of Rev. Amos Pam, organized a 1-day prayer session over the ongoing ethno-religious cleansing being executed by Islamic forces, particularly in and around Plateau State.

The program which has a marmot crowd of thousands Christian worshippers from all Communities and villages assembled at COCIN LCC Hwol-Riypm of Local Government was also attended by illustrious sons and daughters across. Amongst the attendees include Council Chairman of the LGA, Member representing Riyom at Plateau State House of Assembly, security agents and many other sister outfits.
During the session, Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri Esq. of Emancipation Centre for Crisis Victims in Nigeria-ECCVN addresses the gathering on summary of aggressions meted out on Riyom native christians from January 1st, 2021 to date in which over 450 farmed crops have been reportedly mowed down, 30 persons killed, aside the injured and increasing number of widows and orphans who have been neglected and left to their fate.

After goodwill messages, sermon was delivered by Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo who took his reading from 2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.” where he admonished believers not to give up in this trying moment, but should trust in God without wavering in their faith as the Lord God Almighty will bring back our land grabbed in Rankum (Mahanga) and other places that have been grabbed.
