A report provided by Barr. Dalyop Solomon Mwantiri, President of Berom Youths Moulder-Association, confirms that suspected terrorist elements believed to have come from the Rankum (Mahanga) area attacked Jol Community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State at about 6:56 a.m. on April 3, 2026.

The assailants reportedly killed Mr. Dalyop Betobeje, 51, during the early morning assault, throwing the community into panic.

The incident coincided with the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to Plateau State, raising fresh concerns over security in the region.

Residents have called on authorities to act swiftly to prevent further attacks and ensure justice for victims.
