Suspected Fulani Militia attacked Chaha village in Plateau State

At about 8:34pm of last night, 4th June, 2022, armed men suspected to be Fulani militias attacked Chaha village of Vwang District in Jos South LGA. As a result, 1 person by nam Stephen Gyang, aged 24 is reportedly dead while Isaac Gyang and Rev Davou Ishaya John sustained varying degrees of injury, and are currently receiving medical attention in the Hospital.

According to a local source, “the militias ambushed the pastor and Isaac Gyang who were coming back from a church program. On hearing it, Mr. Stephen Gyang went out to take his elder brother, Stephen Gyang and Rev. Davou Ishaya to the Hospital, but met his untimely dead arising from the numerous bullet shots riddled on him by the attackers,” narrated by the source.

Presently, there’s tension in the general areas as farmed crops are also not spared by Fulani marauders during grazing mostly at night.

Due to the critical condition of Mr Isaac Gyang at the time of filing this report, he is about to be referred to Jos University Teaching Hospital-JUTH for intensive medical attention.
