A Village Head Attacked by Identified Fulani Herdsman in Riyom LGA of Plateau State.

It has just been reported that Mr. Luka Badung, a village-Head of Bangai in Bachi District of Riyom LGA was attacked by an identified Fulani herdman named Ja’afaru Tahiru at about 3:23pm of today, 16th June, 2020.


It’s gathered that the attack was preceded by mischievous grazing on farmed crops belonging to the victim, who pleaded with the herder to drive the Cows away but all fall on deaf ears as the attacker, with stick, bashed the head of the traditional ruler who is said to have suffered haemorrhage as a result of the heavy hit meted out on him.


The local source also has it that the victim has been rush to the hospital by personnel of Sector 6, Operation Safe Heaven as Divisional Police Headquarters of Riyom has been informed through phone call, anticipating discreet investigation to be set in motion as a matter of urgency.
