TWO FARMERS KILLED IN FRESH ATTACK IN PLATEAU STATE

After relative peace enjoyed in the past two months, armed men suspected to be fulani militias are said to have killed two native inhabitants of Ancha village in Miango District Bassa L.G.A, of Plateau State at about 2.30pm of today, 23rd November, 2021.

According to anonymous source, “Daniel James aged 32 and Mr. Zakwe Deba aged 35 were attacked and shot dead while working on their farms around the area,” have said.
As at the time of filing this report, the area is still tense as the attackers were still firing gunshots.

On another development; a farmer by name Mr. Rwang Tengwong of Tatu village in Heipang District, Barkin Ladi LGA had his pile-up of harvested Rice completely eaten up by Cows in the night of 22nd November, 2021.

In an interview, Rwang expresses that, “another dark day has befallen me with a shocking sight of my Rice farm measuring about 2 hectares completely eaten up last night, leaving me and my family in a state of delirium as our high expectation of having more than 20 bags of Rice now shattered……, if no assistance is reached out to the victim despite a complaint lodged to Sector 4 of Operation Safe Haven, Barkin Ladi for necessary action.

Again, 2 natives of Hurti village of Daffo District in Bokkos LGA lost their lives as a result of gunshots riddled on them by kidnappers suspected to be Fulani militias who kidnapped of of the natives.

The resurfacing of killings and other forms of heinous crimes being witnessed in the recent times call for expedite action by all relevant authorities, particularly security agents in order to curtail tendencies of violent reaction from affected villages/persons if the situations are nipped in the bud.
