ANOTHER ATTACK CLAIMS 4 IN PLATEAU STATE

Inspite of early warning signal given out hours before invasion, yet, another dark-night was visited on native inhabitants of Chit village of Heipang District, Barkin Ladi LGA of Plateau-Central Nigeria at about 9:30pm of 13th June, 2023. As a result, 4 persons, namely,

  1. Mrs Victoria Joshua
  2. Samuel Danladi
  3. Zephania Sunday
  4. Davou Gyang were reportedly shot dead while one sustained injury and over 50 cows belonging to the natives rustlede during the dastardly act of the armed men.

During an on the spot-assessment in Chit, ECCVN’s team gathered that, “the attacker with sophisticated arms massively stormed this villages at about 9:30pm or thereabout and encircled the entire place, killed 4, one injured, some houses razed down and over 50 cows rustled,” an anonymous source narrated.

In a further response, he wondered how God miraculously helps their escape as the “Fulani Militias were spotted some few minutes, rushing to surround us but God helped us out, we were able to escaped with little children otherwise, it would have been very devastating than this…as the attack lasted for almost an hour,” he said.

In another related development, another group of Fulani Militias are said to have attacked Wereng-Rim of Rim Community after attacking Tanjol, Tarai and Vwak villages of Jol Community of Riyom LGA three times within 5 hours of yesterday.

Based on information available, the personnel of Sectoe 6, Operation Safe Haven-OPSH rapidly repelled the attackers who were in hundreds.
