Another distress called reached ECCVN that, at about 9:45pm of 10th October, 2022, Fulani herders from Fass of Jol Community, Riyom LGA mobilized themselves with dangerous weapons, and attacked residents of Darwat hamlet of the community for apprehending one of the Fulani that grazed into more than 10 farmed crops this evening. As a result, one Mr. Davou Mwatep, aged 32 is reportedly beaten and stabbed dead while Mr. Dachomo Ishaya sustained fatal injuries in his two hands and has been rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, personnel of Operation Rainbow alongside local security outfits are on top of the situation so as not to deteriorate as Operation Safe Haven from Sector 6 have been informed about the development.
According to local source, there’s presently tension in the affected area which informs the presence of the OPSH who are said to be on their way to contend the tragic incident.
This incident precedes the last night invasion of villages in Mangor community of Bokkos LGA where over 20 houses were said to have been touched by fire set by killer Fulani militias that stormed the area after killing 4 in Butura of the same Local Government Area.
Now, affected villagers are calling for drastic security measures to deradicalize the ardent bloodletting mission of the killer Fulani.
